Zara made a gorgeous bangle 🤍
Zara's role here at Wongs is a Sales executive! She is a very loved member of our team with a wide range of knowledge when it comes to jewellery. Most recently, she passed her JET 1 course and we are so proud of her. What she loves most about her role is how she has daily opportunities to meet new people and hear so many unique stories that her customers have. She says that each story is individual and loves to hear what has brought them into our store. From remodels to engagement rings, there is something so special about jewellery and its sentimentality.
Zara began her experience in the workshop by melting down her own sentimental jewellery to be able to use the gold and redesign it into a piece of jewellery that she loves! To create the bangle Zara melted down a ring, a bracelet and a chain which were all 22ct yellow gold. These were all pieces that have sentimental value to Zara as it combines both her own jewellery and her mums. The beauty of remodeling jewellery is how each piece of gold holds sentimental value which can then be turned into any style.

Zara says 'I had an amazing experience in the workshop creating my twisted bangle to match my wedding band.' She made a wonderful bangle, that has a twisted design. This design is lovely and it matches her other jewellery perfectly, especially her wedding ring! This bangle is a timeless piece that she can wear everyday!
In addition, she mentioned that her favourite part of the experience was polishing the bangle once it was all made as this was the moment she could see her creation come to life! After the polishing process, this is when The 'Day In The Workshop' experience not only gave her an opportunity to gain so much more knowledge about the making process of jewellery but made her outstandingly confident when discussing with her customers about remaking their own jewellery and heirlooms.
