Mr & Mrs Reynolds

Liverpool's love stories

A huge congratulations to our lovely customers Will & Sian who got married this August!

Sian & Will tied the knot in Cheshire!

Firstly, we'll take it back to the beginning... How did you both first meet?

We met in our 2nd year of Uni in Newcastle where he used to sit a few rows behind me, One day after lectures his friends invited me to the student union for a few drinks and karaoke but I couldn't go. The next day Will messaged me saying how I missed out on a great night of karaoke and we were talking ever since.

Tell us about the proposal! What was it like and how did you feel?

We used to visit the North East quite frequently as I have family up there still. In May 2022 I thought we were just going back up to Newcastle for our usual trip we do every year to stay in Jesmond where Will used to live in Uni. On the Friday, Will wanted to go for a walk around Jesmond Dene park before we were going to walk into Newcastle City Centre. We ended up walking to a small bridge which is next to a waterfall. This is where Will was going to propose, however I had no idea so I told him to get out of the way so I could take a video. After I took the video, Will came to stand in front of me and started to kneel down. I thought he was joking so I started laughing until I saw the Wongs box in his hand. I was so shocked but immediately said yes when he asked me. Will says he was nervous, not because he thought I was would say no, but more nervous with excitement about asking me to marry him.

Sian, what is your ring like? Did Will choose well?

The ring is absolutely perfect, I have never worn rings before and it's not too big but has the perfect amount of sparkle!

Your wedding looked fabulous! What is your favourite moment from your special day?

My favourite moment of the day was seeing Will at the top of the aisle waiting for me and seeing the emotion in his eyes when he first saw me. Wills favourite moment was leaving the ceremony room during the confetti shot getting to see everyone's face as we left.

Are there any wedding suppliers that you loved that we could share with our brides/grooms to be?

I am so lucky that I had lots of amazing suppliers at our wedding! I'd definitely recommend ones that we used such as:

My florist was Hope And Flora Style. Sarah selects local sustainable flowers and created totally unique bouquets with whats available that week.

Our videographers were Josh & Beth from Memory Box Films. They were so amazing! Our photographer, Shauna, had worked with Josh & Beth in the past so they both did relaxed candid photos of the day. Our photographer, Shauna from SJP photographs was incredible!

The favours we had were from Benona Chocolates. We were able to customise everything about the chocolates, from the packaging to the chocolate designs. They were so delicious.

In the evening, the suppliers were a real highlight for us!

We had Cream Bee Ice Cream at our wedding with their ice cream van. The ice cream and toppings were amazing! They also posted a photo of me peeking into their van on their Instagram page.

We also had a cheese toastie van from Stinky.vintage. As soon as we got engaged I knew I wanted cheese toasties as our evening food. It was a complete highlight of the wedding and they were worth every penny.

Vicki from Iddybiddy Photobooth was absolutely incredible as she was so much fun and our online gallery and photo album are hilarious to look through.

We had a live artist through the day called Katy Locke Design. She came and done portraits of our guests which was also a total highlight for guests to get as an extra favour from the day

Our venue was perfect and I can't recommend them enough! We were so looked after all day at Colshaw Hall and our toastmaster Ian was hilarious. The day ran perfectly from start to finish

Is there any advice that you have for our newly engaged couples?

We were told how quickly the day goes but even then it still went so much quicker than we thought. Someone gave me advice to pick out key moments of the day where I wanted to be really present and take it all in which we both tried to do through the day. Wherever possible try and get some alone time together as the bride and groom.

How did you find the process of selecting your wedding rings? 🤍💍

The ring buying process was amazing, we were both looked after and was able to try on a variety of rings until we found the right one. We didn't feel rushed or pressured into making a decision there and then. We were able to think about our choices before actually buying the rings, which was so helpful.

Thank you so much Sian & Will for sharing your special day with us! We wish you both all the best
